About CEO

Bonface Githaiga (Bonfire)

Bonface Githaiga, widely known as Bonfire The King, is the Founder and CEO of Sign Impact Africa. He is a passionate educator, counsellor, creative communicator, and transformational leader whose life and work bridge healing, identity, and impact. Bonface’s journey to leadership was shaped by his own experiences of pain, healing, and restoration. Having faced childhood health challenges, stigma, and personal struggle, he discovered the power of mercy and deliberate mentorship — and committed his life to helping others find their purpose beyond pain.
His personal testimony informs his leadership philosophy: lead with love, serve with authenticity, and empower with purpose. A multi-disciplinary professional, Bonface holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Kiswahili & History) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, and is certified in Counselling Psychology, Life Coaching, Leadership, and Mental Health. His academic background gives him a strong foundation for mentoring youth with depth, insight, and compassion.
As a mentor and coach, Bonface has guided hundreds of young people — both in one-on-one mentorship and group programs — helping them navigate identity challenges, emotional well-being, leadership development, and purpose discovery. His influence extends beyond Kenya to Liberia and Rwanda, where his programs have inspired transformation in schools, communities, and digital spaces. Beyond mentorship, Bonface is also a Gospel musician, spoken word artist, songwriter, MC, and public speaker. He uses art as a medium to communicate hope, courage, and spiritual truth, and has facilitated workshops, leadership forums, and youth summits across East Africa and beyond. Under his leadership, Sign Impact Africa stands as a beacon of hope and resilience — transforming stories of trauma into testimonies of impact, one young person at a time.
Bonface’s philosophy: “Healing is not linear, purpose is not accidental, and greatness is not owned — it’s discovered.”
